Jerry Wayne Vaughan Sr.

Jerry Wayne Vaughan, Sr., 71, of Matoaca, passed away on April 8, 2015. Born in Matoaca, VA he was the son of the late Clyde S. and Nellie Henshaw Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church and the Community Hunt Club. He owned and operated Jerry Vaughan Masonry Co. in Matoaca for many years and he loved to farm. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jeannie Vaughan; a son, Jerry Wayne Vaughan, Jr. and fiancé Janie Norman; one granddaughter, Loren Jane; two brothers, Harvey Vaughan and wife, Becky, Francis Vaughan and wife, Louise; special great-nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Jack and Brody; and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Matoaca Baptist Church. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Matoaca Baptist Church.
