Jerry Neil Wohnig

Jerry Neil Wohnig, 87, passed peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born and raised in Petersburg, VA, by the late Earl and Estelle Wohnig. He is also preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Wohnig; and his sister, Josie Marie Phelps.

After retiring as a data processing supervisor for Honeywell/IBM, Jerry spent his time enjoying one of his many hobbies. He was an avid coin collector, a train enthusiast, and a talented photographer. He had a warm heart, a gentle soul, and was loved by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brian Wohnig (Jennifer); his daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wohnig; his grandchildren, Garrett Wohnig and Madison McCray; his great-grandchild, Caden Maitland; his niece, Lynne Hamlin (John); his nephew, Randy Phelps; and numerous other family members. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service that will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11 am, in Blandford Cemetery.
