Jessica Lynn Collins, age 35, unexpectedly joined the Lord Wednesday, January 18th, 2023. Jessica Lynn was born on July 24th, 1987, in Hopewell, Virginia, to Michael and Cindy Collins and is the youngest of four children.
Jessica is survived by two of her beautiful children, Makiyah Arieon and Noah Zakai Parson; her parents, Michael and Cindy Collins; brothers, Robert Collins (Allison) and Jason Collins (Nicole); sister, Crystal Collins (Adam); uncles, Barry Jones and Larry Jones (Margret); aunt, Martine Rose (Graham); nieces, Alexys, Camryn, and Whitney; and nephews, Gage, Carson, and Anderson; and many other family and friends, especially a close friend MeeMee Coleman.
She is preceded in death by her first daughter, Jailyn Kiera Collins; grandparents, Jesse and Beatrice Jones, and Jeannine LeTrou Collins; uncles, Larry Collins and T.T. Collins, and Gary Jones, a close childhood uncle.
Jessica graduated in 2005, from Hopewell High School and continued her career in the field of hospitality. She was a lover of peaceful sceneries, such as, the beach and the Belle Isle riverfront. She had a soft spot for little pit bull puppies that she always seemed to drag home and spoil. On a regular day, you could expect Jessica to spend hours coordinating outfits and makeup looks. She was a shoe and music enthusiast. Jessica was an attentive companion to family and friends alike, always offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on without hesitation.
The center of Jessica's universe were her two babies, Makiyah and Noah. Makiyah and Jessica share their love for fashion and unique hairstyles. Jessica was Noah's biggest fan, always attending his football games, with a fresh Gatorade and a smile on her face. She will be dearly missed by all, but especially by her children.
To honor the memory of Jessica Lynn, on Friday, January 27, 2023, a viewing will be held at 12:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm, at Unity Baptist Church (4951 Mt Sinai Rd, Prince George, VA 23875). Burial will follow at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell. The family invites you to join them in remembering the wonderful life of Jessica Lynn, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and true friend.
