Jewell Brockwell Eavey

Jewell Elizabeth Brockwell Eavey, 79, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and making afghans. Mrs. Eavey also loved working in her garden, and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Dyson Brockwell; and brothers, Randolph, Raymond and Alfred Brockwell. She is survived by her husband, Wiley J. Eavey; sons, Gregory A. Eavey and friend Suzanne Salisbury, Carlton E. Eavey and wife Debra, Brian P. Eavey and wife Aya, and Daryl J. Eavey and wife Wendy; grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, Amanda, Brett, Leslie, Kathryn, Grace, Ryleigh, Kyla, and Dylan; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mattie Brockwell, Jackie Stover, Marian LaRiviere, Anna Eavey; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
