Jimmie E. Robertson

Jimmie Edward Robertson, 69, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was the son of the late Haynie O. and Sadie B. Hodges Robertson, and was also preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Morton. Mr. Robertson is survived by his four children, Jimmie E. “Doodlebug” Robertson, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Melanie L., Timothy D. and Jacob E. Robertson; his fiancé, Katherine McClelland; her children, Robert McClelland and wife Brandi, and Mary Davis and husband, Jason; four grandchildren; three sisters, Georgia Baldwin, Vernona Robertson, and Patsy McKay and husband Charlie; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Morton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Lighthouse Church of God of Prophecy in Burkeville with inurnment to follow in Trinity Memorial Park.
