Jimmie Edward ?Eddie? Robinette, 63, of Hopewell died Thursday, May 19, 2005, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. He was born in Coeburn, VA and had been a resident of this area for many years. Mr. Robinette was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was a member of American Legion Post #146, attended South Hopewell Church of God and was retired from the American Water Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis & Pauline Johnson Robinette. Mr. Robinette is survived by his wife, Velma Lee ?Dolly? Robinette of Hopewell, two daughters, Joy Robinette of Virginia Beach, Lorie Robinette-Edwards of Prince George, one son, D. Brian Robinette of Mooresboro, NC, five grandchildren, Victoria, Brittany, Andy, Jaime and Jordan, two sisters Jean Carrier of Bristol, TN, Edna Younce of Bristol, VA, one brother Johnny Robinette of Blanco, TX, and special friend and prayer partner, Gladys Massey of Hopewell. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 22, 2005 from 3:00 to 4:30 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Walter Simms, pastor of South Hopewell Church of God, and the Rev. Arthur Harris, former pastor officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
