Jimmy Hardin

d. March 23, 2006

Jimmy Holmes Hardin slipped into heaven Thursday night after a long illness. He was the finest man ever known, a great friend to many, knowledgeable in many things, especially fishing. Jimmy practiced his expertise in fishing by giving directions to good fishing holes, but not always his. He was a devoted family man, he adored his children and grandchildren. He showed them the path to a good and rewarding life. They equally adored and respected him by being the kind of people he was so very proud of. We are sure he was met by his fishing buddies and is happily talking baseball. He was a member of American Legion Post #146 and Prince George Masonic Lodge # 115. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Peggy Narron Hardin, his four children Sheree Hardin, Mark Hardin, Tamee Hardin Collins and Kristee Hardin Lively, grandchildren, Alexander Beganie, Matthew Beganie, Louis Smithson, Stevie Hardin, Megan Hardin, Maura and Carlee Mabon, one sister, Hannah Moxley, one brother, Robert Hardin, many nieces and nephews and a devoted friend, James R. Jones. A funeral service, followed by a Masonic memorial service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with the Rev. Neil R. Cline, pastor of Faith Lutheran Parish officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 PM. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com
