Jimmy Powers

Jimmy Alan Powers, age 52, of Concord, NC passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010. He was born in Hopewell, Virginia, and was retired from Philip Morris. While employed with Philip Morris, he worked at the Richmond and Cabarrus, NC locations. Mr. Powers was the loving son of the late Junious L. Powers, Sr. and of Dolly V. Powers of Hopewell. He was the loving husband of Debbie Powers; father of Melissa and Brent; and grandfather of Makenzie and Noah. He is also survived by a brother, Junious L. Powers, Jr.; sisters, Diana Bridgman and Judy Joyce; two brother in laws, Robert C. Johnson and Richard B. Johnson; and many loving family members. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Friday in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with interment following in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester.
