Jimmy Reaves

Jimmy Allen Reaves, 65, of Dinwiddie County, died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at his residence with his family at his side. Born in Person Co., North Carolina, he was the son of the late Sterling Allen and Lonie Jane Soloman Reaves and the husband of Mary Elder Reaves. Mr. Reaves retired from Bat Masonry of Lynchburg, Virginia. Other than his wife he is survived by a daughter, Jacky R. Edmonds; a son, Barry Allen Reaves; step-children, Angel M. Campos, Anna M. Weaver and Douglas W. Elder, Jr.; brothers, Edwin Reaves, Curtis Reaves, Milo Reaves, Roger Reaves, Stanley Reaves and Herman Reaves; sisters, Texie R. Bowes, Wilma R. Bowling, Regina R. Gray and Deborah R. Woody; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service tonight from 7 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:30 AM.
