Jo Smith

Jo Anne Smith, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Mrs. Smith loved gardening, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lummie Anderson and Mattie Akers Anderson; and brothers, Bill Anderson and Ray Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Smith; daughter, Eva Smith Gross; sons, Jeff and wife Brenda Smith, and Mark and wife Rita Smith; six grandchildren, Eric, Jeffrey Jr., Clyde Adam, Jessica, David, and Mark Jr.; as well as numerous family and friends. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
