Joan Gladys Carter

Joan Gladys Dooley Carter, 84, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred O. Carter; her parents, Sumner Grady Dooley and Frances Saunders Dooley; baby sister, Barbara Ann Dooley; sister, Marian Jeanette Dooley Lynn; and a brother-in law, Granville Milliner. She is survived by her brother, George O. Dooley and wife, Rose; her sister, Lane Milliner; as well as numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Hopewell Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
