Joann Horner Blowe, 67, of Colonial Heights, died, January 30, 2008 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was a life-long resident of this area. Mrs. Blowe was a receptionist with Quality Lincoln Mercury Dealership. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Horner and Pat Wray Sherrick. Surviving are her husband Henry Clay Blowe of Colonial Heights, five daughters, Joyce Ann Lewis & fiancé Charles E. Lilly, Jr. and Terri Lynn Farley & husband Eddie, Jr. all of Hopewell, Debbie Paige Payne & husband Stanley of Petersburg, Teresa A. Clarkin of Nags Head, N.C. and Tammy Potter & husband Ernie of Hopewell, five sons, Michael L. Parrish & wife Daisy of Memphis, TN., Shawn M. Parrish of Hopewell, Gregory R. Blowe & wife Ann of Chesterfield, Danny E. Blowe & wife Cathy of Ohio and Ricky W. Blowe & wife Crystal of Gloucester, Va., two sisters, Maryland Blanchard of Hopewell and Inez Starke of Chester, two brothers, Clarence Horner of Hopewell, and Paul Horner of Prince George, 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2008 from 7-8:30 in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Lewis Brown, pastor of the Church of Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery.
