JoAnn Vinsh Skalsky, 65, of Disputanta, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Vinsh and Emily Chudoba Vinsh. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Vinsh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Mary Skalsky; and brother-in-law, Jerry Skalsky. JoAnn was a graduate of Prince George High School. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching football. Her greatest passion was her family and spending time with them. She is loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Charles Skalsky; children, Nikki Gibbs (James), Amanda Skalsky, Bryan Skalsky, and Kelly Skalsky; grandson, Jaxon Skalsky; sister, Barbara Priode (Kenny); nieces and nephews, Antonia Priode, Mary Langford, David Hanzlik, Dennis Hanzlik, Joyce Cain, Debbie Skalsky, J.J. Skalsky, Julie Brown, and Heidi Skalsky; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hanzlik (Edward), and Brenda Skalsky. There will be a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
