Joanne Miller

Joanne Padgett Miller, 55, of Hopewell, died December 1, 2010. She was born in Bedford, Virignia She was a school bus driver for 16 years for the Hopewell Public School System and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Landon Lowry and Joanne Hargis Padgett, and a brother, Landon Lowry â??Boâ? Padgett, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Raymond Clifton Miller, Jr., a daughter, Patricia A. Miller both of Hopewell, two sons, Brian S. Miller & wife Jerri of Carson and Brandon S. Miller of Hopewell, four grandchildren, Amber B. Cheatham, Autumn M.M. Cheatham both of Hopewell, Christopher S. Miller of Carson, Makayla N. Miller of Dinwiddie, three sisters, Susan Wood, Deborah Whitt and Brenda Nichols all of Bedford, VA., one brother, Edward Padgett of Bedford and a uncle, Harry â??Sonnyâ? Hargis of Colonial Heights. A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 6pm in Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Hendricks, pastor, officiating. Visitation to follow service.
