JoAnne Joyce Simmons, 79, of Prince George, VA, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
Born and raised in Hopewell, VA, she was preceded in death by her husband, P.D. Simmons, Jr., as well as her parents, Edgar C Joyce, Sr. and Irene B Joyce.
She is survived by her children, Lorraine Simmons of Prince George, VA, David (Sharon) Simmons of Orangeburg, SC, Scott Simmons of Austin, TX and Jay Simmons of Wilmington, DE; two grandchildren Ryan (Lauren) Simmons, Brye (Kurt) Mead; two great- grandchildren, Hallie and Maddie; as well as several nieces and nephews; sister, Shirley(Mel) DeWinter; brother, Edgar (Connie) Joyce Jr.; sister, Linda (Ron) Wardell; and brother, Michael (Joe) Joyce.
The family will receive family and friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at J.T. Morriss & Son - Hopewell Chapel. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
