Jo Anne Burritt Whiting

Jo Anne Burritt Whiting, 80, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harold Ralph Burritt and Rachel Cassell Brewer and her husband, George; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, David Judson Whiting; and her son, David Todd Whiting. Jo Anne retired from Reynolds Metal Company as a Patent Assistant after many years of dedicated service. She was a long-time dedicated member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, Joel Andrew Whiting and his wife, Kristan; and numerous other loving family and friends. Friends are welcome to visit with Jo Anne and sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Southlawn Memorial Park.
