Jody Lynn Ferguson

Jody Lynn Benson Ferguson, 51, of Disputanta, VA, died Monday, August 21, 2017. Jody was a devoted mother and a school bus driver for Prince George County Public Schools for 14 years. She was also an animal lover, especially horses. Jody was preceded in death by her father, James D. Pelton, Jr. and her step-father, Earl Holdsworth. She is survived by her husband, Mark Ferguson; children, Ray Benson (Jennifer Mays), Jeffrey Benson, and Stephanie Benson; her mother, Anna Holdsworth; grandchildren, Allison and Ruby Belote; and her siblings, Robin Pollock, Barbara Stewart, Colin Kelley, and James D. Pelton, III. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Virginia, P.O.
