Joe Pete Condra

Joe Pete Condra, 76, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on January 10, 2023. Born and raised in Brookwood, AL, he was the son of the late William Condra and Rosa Lee Condra.

After graduating from Brookwood High School, Mr. Condra served in Vietnam with honorable discharge, after three and a half years of service. Following, he was a painter, mechanic, carpenter, tree worker. He was truly a "Jack of all trades and almost master of all!" He was an active member at Sportsman Hunt Club, of Dinwiddie, VA, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe liked tinkering with anything with a motor, and helping anyone he could to solve their problems. He was a problem solver, no matter the problem. He always had the answer. Most importantly, Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and pillar of our community.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maureen Ann Condra; Daughter, Leona and her husband, Tommy Conover; Sons, Mike Colbert and wife, Emilia Colbert, David Colbert and Jimmy Colbert; and daughter, Susan Colbert; grandchildren, Tommy Meadows and spouse, Melody, Brian Meadows and spouse, Angie, Ryan Fuller and spouse, Angel, Kyle Colbert, Tyler Colbert and spouse, Ashley, Ashton Mott and spouse, Hunter; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Cooper Meadows, Troy Colbert, Kristen Colbert, Brooks Colbert; Siblings, Jackie Condra and spouse, Veda Ann, Peachie Knight and spouse, Willard.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Condra was preceded in death by his brother, Bubba Condra; and daughter, Margaret Colbert.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
