Joe Henry Harris

Joe Henry Harris, 89, met His Savior face to face, on February 27, 2024. He was born January 14, 1935, to the late Walter and Eunice Wray Harris. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Patricia "Pat" Laslie Harris, who he lovingly referred to as "Mommy." He is also survived by two daughters, Joy Moss (Wade) and Patty Pace (Jim). "Papa Joe" was dearly loved by his grandchildren, Kristen Dixon (Morgan), Angel Lang (Kevin), Jessica Pace, and Brandon Pace; four great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Gavin, Ella, and Elise; sister-in-law, Frances Neddo; and brother-in-law, Donnie Laslie (Sharon); and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at Broadway Baptist Church, in Hopewell. The family will receive friends one hour prior, at the church. The interment will take place at Appomattox Cemetery.
