Joe Henry Jones Jr.

Joe Henry Jones, Jr., 30, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe H. Jones, Sr. of Alderson, WV and his paternal grandparents, Otis Cartho Jones and Judy Garten Jones of Alderson, West Virginia. Joe was a graduate of Hopewell High School and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Prince George, VA. He worked as a plant maintenance technician at Vulcan Materials and enjoyed fishing in his free time. Joe is survived by his daughter, Mya Ann Jones of Colonial Heights; mother, Rebecca Parrish of Hopewell; brothers, Matthew Jones of Hopewell, Dakota Jones of Alderson, West Virginia, and Chad Parrish of Hopewell; maternal grandparents, John and Barbara Lackey of Prince George; maternal uncle, John Lackey, Jr. of Dinwiddie; paternal uncles, Jerry Jones of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Jeff Jones of Virginia Beach; and paternal aunt, Sheri Jones of Chesterfield. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son - Hopewell, 820 W. Broadway Avenue, on Thursday, July 28, from 10-11 AM, with a funeral service being held in the chapel at 11 AM.
