Joe Michael Wade

Joe "Michael" Wade, 63, of Disputanta, VA, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Born in Clinton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Betty Lou Schrieber. Michael was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw. He was a former member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA. Michael is love. He was relentlessly goofy and unfathomably loving and loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sharon Wade; seven children, Jay Wade (Alison), Chase Wade (Sarah), Jenifer Fowler, Jon Elsea, Robert Elsea, James Sparks (Kim) and Amee Allen (Dennis); fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney "Bo" Wade (Vicki); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 2:00 p.m on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Western Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Dundalow officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the church. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
