John Joseph Buyalos, 75, of Cobblestone Drive, Hopewell, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Prince George County and had been a life long resident of this area. Mr. Buyalos was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Crater Antique Car Club, AACA, and was a retired central office repairman for C & P Telephone Co. He was the son of the late George Henry and Emily Mikuska Buyalos. Mr. Buyalos is survived by his wife, Anne Brotherton Buyalos of Hopewell, one daughter, Karen B. Taylor and her husband Dorse of Dinwiddie, two sons, George L. Buyalos and his wife Gail of Chester, David A. Buyalos of Dinwiddie, two grandchildren, Brian A. Buyalos of Prince George and Dorse E. Taylor, Jr. of Dinwiddie, and one sister, Johanna B. Ortiz of Dinwiddie. A rosary will be recited Monday, February 7, 2005 at 7:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel Bond, Rector of St. James Catholic Church visit to follow until 8:30 PM. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 10:00AM in St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Bond officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg.
