John Clements

John Waverly â??Doodleyâ? Clements, 82, of Prince George County, peacefully passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 surrounded by family and friends in Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mr. Clements was a U. S. Army veteran having served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of Newville United Methodist Church, Newville Hunt Club, Hopewell American Legion, a former member of the Burrowsville Ruritan Club, a faithful fan of the Virginia Lady Titans softball organization, and a self employed farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Waverly Tolman and Estelle Avery Clements, a sister, Genevieve C. Guza and a brother James Merle Clements. Mr. Clements is survived by his wife, Barbara Wells Clements, two sons, Bill Clements and his wife Kim, Johnny Clements and his wife, Penny, a granddaughter, Whitney Clements, all of Prince George County, four grandsons, William Clements and his fianceâ?? Rachel Moegling of Dinwiddie, Robert Clements, Waverly Clements, Wade Clements, all of Prince George County and a sister, Juliette C. Cofer of Dendron. The family will receive friends Monday, April 13, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bev Nelan, pastor of Newville United Methodist Church officiating.
