Peter's professional journey began with The Bank of Southside Virginia in 1984,
where he served as an excellent leader of Virginia Banking. Among many leadership roles, he served as Chairman of the Virginia Bankers Association, on committees of the American Bankers Association, and on Virginia's Gateway Region. His commitment to service was evident in his roles as a board member at his alma maters, the College of William & Mary, Ferrum College, Randolph-Macon College and Richard Bland College.
His devotion extended beyond his professional life into his personal interests and
commitments. A faithful member of Carson United Methodist Church, Peter supported countless causes and missions.
