John Crockett

John Robert Crockett, 67, of Hopewell, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011. Born in Quarrier, WVA, he was the son of the late John Wriley and Ruby Coleman Crockett. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver for Manning Transport. Mr. Crockett will be remembered as a patient, loving husband and father, and a role model to his children. He was always ready to help other people. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Crockett. He is survived by his wife, Donna Crockett; children, Pamela Hancock (Preston), Kimberly Medeiros (Mark), John Paul Crockett (Nekole), Joseph LeDoux (Laura) and Steven Crockett (Stephanie); grandchildren, Kaloeb Crockett, Grace Hancock, J. T. Hancock, Ethan Medeiros, Matthew Medeiros, Kaira Medeiros, Brittanie Crockett, Stacie Crockett, Zackkary Crockett, Harlie Crockett, Payton LeDoux, Emily LeDoux, Gavin Crockett and Makenna Crockett; brother, Rodney Crockett (Pat); sister, Louise Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24th at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
