England, John William 65, of Chester went to be with the Lord on Friday February 11, 2011. John was a member of the millright machinist local 1402 of Richmond VA. He retired from Phillip Morris as a maintenance supervisor after 25 years of service. Mr. England was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Chester Station Camp 1503. He was also a member of the American Legion Hopewell Memorial Post 146 and the Two Rivers American Legion Riders, a member of the Jacob J. Pearson Post 637 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. England was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country proudly in the Army. Mr. England was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father; James William England and sister; Lois McDonald. He is survived by his wife Pamela Vaughan England, daughter; Tammie England, son; Shawn England, two grandchildren; Dale and Ashby Bryant, mother; Jessie Jerrell, sister; Caroll Williamson, and other family and friends. A Memorial service will be held 5:00P.M. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with a reception to follow at the Hopewell VFW Post 637, 335 South 15th Ave. Hopewell, VA.
