John Victor Albert Foreman

John Victor Albert Foreman, 91, of Chester, VA, passed from this life into the next on the morning of February 27, 2019. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of the late Victor Wilford Foreman and Marie Baker Leardi. After high school, he served two years in the Army Air Corps until his honorary discharge in 1947. He went on to Stetson University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. His work in sales took him to Charlotte, NC where he met his wife which was the best thing that ever happened to him; Hollywood, FL, Greensboro, NC, and finally Chester. He was a long-time member of Chester Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He was known for his love for his family, his rose gardens, playing bridge, golf, and his dedication to his beloved Schnauzer, Holly. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice Moss Foreman; sister, Diane Leardi of Guilford, VT; daughter Sallie Seaton-Elliott and her husband, Michael, of Chester; son, John Victor Albert Foreman, Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Chesterfield; son, Albert Lionel Foreman and wife, Amy, of Glen Allen; grandchildren Joseph Carrol Farrar, Benjamin Douglas Farrar, Maximilian Durkot Foreman, Melanie Gail Foreman, Lucy Paige Foreman, and Charlotte Grace Foreman; and great-granddaughter Aubree Ann Farrar. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home at 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School St., Chester, VA 23831. A private interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
