John Robert Fraser

John Robert Fraser, 84, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Son of the late, Robert Lane Fraser and Addie Hitchcock. He enjoyed working for many years on his family farm and was a lifetime member of the Old Hickory Hunting Club. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Fraser; and siblings, James, Simon, Sheila, and Shirley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marcia K. Fraser; son, John E. Fraser (Sheri); brothers, Kenneth, John Olin, and Ralph; sisters, Mildred Ovens, Irene Brumbach, and Virginia Burrous; devoted sister-in-law, Donna McCullough; devoted nieces and nephews, Daryl (Lisa) and family, and Melissa (Matt); and special friend, Linnie Elder. The family would also like to give a special thanks to his caregiver, Shaneka Lee.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with Reverend Amos Rideout, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice.
