John Edward "Johnny" Goens

John Edward “Johnny” Goens went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2018. Born in Roanoke, VA he was the son of the late Mary Frances Cresey Goens and Thomas Edward Goens; and a brother, Kenneth “Bunny” Goens. He is survived by his wife, Helen R. Warren Goens; children, John Richard “Rick” Goens and wife, Gerri, Gene Carl Warren and wife, Jeanette, Tammi Warren and Belinda W. Moon; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a devoted nephew, Joey Goens. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
