John â??Sonnyâ? Elliott Goodrich, 58, of Hopewell, died Thursday, April 10 2008 at his residence. He was a life-long resident of Hopewell. He was the son of the late James Lawrence and Rosemary Bolt Goodrich. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Harlow Goodrich of Hopewell, four daughters, Rebecca G. Miller & husband Timothy of Dewitt, Heather S. Talley of Hopewell, Megan G. Holder & husband Scott of Prince George, Ashley Potter of Dinwiddie, one son, Jonathan â??Heathâ? Samuels & wife Patrese of Doswell, seven grandchildren, TJ, Kendra, Amanda, Danielle, Emmitt, Jonathan and Micajah, a brother-in-spirit, Larry Barden & wife Robbie of Amelia and a brother, Duane Goodrich & wife Joanna of Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30P.M. Sunday, April 13, 2008 in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday , April 14, 2008 in the Hopewell chapel with Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
