John Percival Haddon, Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of John P. Haddon Jr. announces his passing on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 77 after battling pancreatic cancer. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Sylvia, and his three children, John Haddon III, wife Melinda, Joseph Haddon, wife Michele, and daughter Colleen Watson. He will also be greatly missed by his seven grandchildren, brother Don, two sisters Lynn and Pat, and extended family and friends.

John was born in Petersburg, Virginia and started his career as a mechanic, then worked as a millwright for Allied Chemical where he later retired. He enjoyed working on cars, making various things with wood, and most of all, spending time with family and spoiling his seven grandchildren.

A mass and a celebration of John’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 30, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2480 Batterson Road, Powhatan, Virginia, with Father Michael S. Schmied presiding. Interment will follow at the Columbarium directly behind the church.
