John Johnson

John K. Johnson, of Deltaville, VA went home to the Lord on May 2, 2006. He was born in Allentown, PA on August 3, 1926, the son of Richard and Frances Johnson. He grew up in Chester, VA and has been living in Deltaville since 1990. He saw action in the Pacific in 1944 on the U.S.S. Auburn where he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal of Honor. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by three sisters, Irene Kutz of Binghamton, NY, Mary Rycraft of Chester, and Anna Green and husband Robert of North East, MD; two brothers Donald W. Johnson and wife Betty of Chester and Robert E. Johnson and wife Jean of Port Orange, FL. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Thursday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be registered on-line at www.jtmorriss.com .
