John Henry Mcdonald

MSGT John Henry McDonald, U. S. Army (Retired), 76, of Petersburg, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014. Born in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Allen and Mary Aldrich McDonald. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Luigia McDonald and a son, Paul McDonald. Mr. McDonald served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years including two tours in Vietnam. He is survived by a son, Francis McDonald and wife, Ecko; daughters, Julie McDonald and Nancy Kelly and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Skye McDonald and Lucianna Kelly. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Following the service, Mr. McDonald will be entombed with his wife in the mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
