John Edward Michalik

February 7, 1950 — September 12, 2021

John Edward Michalik, 71, of Disputanta, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late William Michalik and Sarah Gettings Michalik.
John was a proud Veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his cars. His greatest passion was his family and spending time with them. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Michalik; children, Kelli Clark, Jaime Franklin, Jennifer Watts, and Heather Scott; grandchildren, Dustin Clark, Joshua Clark, Taylor O’Brien, Rylee Franklin, Bryson Watts, Maddux Watts, Coston Pritchett, and Hadley Scott; siblings, Cynthia Ramsey, Michael Michalik, and Louie Michalik.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one-hour prior from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family encourages that masks be worn and to practice social distancing for the safety of family and friends. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
