John Lewis Norris, Sr., 80, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Born in Whitby, West Virginia, he was the son of the late James and Myrtle Norris; and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Frank, and Anthony Norris. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Treva. T. Norris; two children, Debbie Norris (Tommy) and John "Butch" Norris, Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany Robertson (Chris), Matt Bain (Tamara), Amanda Edwards (Michial), and Mallory Norris; great-grandchildren, Kaylin, CJ, Kirsten, Zoey, Kian, Kennedy, Easton, and Luke; great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Cyrus; two sisters, Nancy Lewis (Jimmy) and Kathy Reed; special nephews, Ronnie, Tommy, and Steve Norris; and many more nieces and nephews. Mr. Norris was a United States Veteran having faithfully served in country in the Army. He had retired from Allied Signal as a control operator after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Prince George Hunt Club and the Beach Hunt Club. Mr. Norris was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. His family will remember him as an Atlanta Braves loving, ice cream eating, hummingbird watching, hunting loving, stubborn husband, father, and grandfather. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
