John Michael Palfi

John Michael Palfi, 78, of Dinwiddie, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Murrin Palfi, brother, George John Palfi; sister, Mary Ann Palfi Caporaso; and son, Marvin Herman Kennon. John was a 1961 graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and retired in 1996 as Special Agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after 29 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Whirley Palfi; two daughters, Kelly Lee Andrews and Chandra Leslie King (Todd); three sons, Douglas James Palfi, John Michael Palfi, Jr. and Jerry Layne Kennon (Theresa); nine grandchildren, Jonathan Andrews, Jessica Newsom, Madison Kennon, Claudia King, Grayson King, Olivia Taveras, Kaitlyn Palfi, Lauren Palfi and Anna Palfi; and one great-grandson, Trent Johnson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
