John Joseph Seckora Sr.

John Joseph Seckora Sr., 80, of Disputanta, passed away on Sunday August 23, 2020. Born in West Point, VA on August 30, 1939, he was a lifelong resident of Prince George, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, John P and Helen A. Sebra Seckora. Surviving are his wife, Linda Lee Collins Seckora; children, Deborah L White, John J Seckora, Jr.; stepsons, Donnie Lopez (Cheryl), Daniel Lopez (Jennifer); Siblings Roman Seckora (Shirley), Shirley Bratton (Tom); grandchildren, RJ and Ashleigh White, Anthony, Emily, Jenna, Danielle and Eddie Lopez; Great grandchildren, Iyannah and Julianna Dunbar; Sisters-in-law, Barbara Baganakis and BettyJo Morecock; Brother-in-law Charles H Collins, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
John was a lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church. In his lifetime he worked at A&P, Safeway and Honeywell where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and other outdoor events. A memorial Mass will be held at 12pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell, Va. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
