John Grady Thompson

John Grady Thompson, 83, of N. Chesterfield, VA., passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2019. Born in Falls Mills, VA and son of the late, John William and Eileen Moser Thompson.He is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Joe and William Thompson; and sister, Nancy Porterfield.
John is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Elva T. Thompson; son, Richard A. Thompson (Karen); daughter, Karen A. Cambeletta (Louisa); son, Larry Clark; daughter, Christine M. Bryant; 12 loving grandchildren and 11 loving great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Williams; brother, Fred Thompson (Sue), sister, Mildred Ratcliff (Freddie-Ray), sister, Betty Carter (James), as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Chester, VA., where a service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019.Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park.
