John Paul Vartanian

John Paul Vartanian, 83, of Hopewell, VA, died on April 28, 2021. He is survived by his sisters, Andrea Asbedian and Kathleen Kumkumian and her husband, John; and nieces, Jennifer Asbedian and Katherine Barbella. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, John enjoyed a career in scientific research. His love for science and math meant that he pursued his interests for both work and pleasure. He was a wonderful brother and uncle and was kind and caring to everyone who knew him. He will be remembered fondly for his ‘always happy’ nature. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Appomattox Cemetery. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
