John Randon Weeks, Jr.

John Randon Weeks Jr. 74, of Dinwiddie, Virginia passed through the pearly gates of Heaven to be with the Lord on the evening of June 28th 7:40 PM at Johnston Willis Hospital after a short battle with Cancer.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 37 years, Carolyn H. Weeks. He is preceded in death by his father, John R. Weeks, Sr.; mother, Mildred Weeks; brother, Ricky Weeks; and daughter, Georgia Gryder. He will forever be remembered by his beloved family; children, Denise Crawford, Theresa Cooper and Spouse, Jim Cooper, Randy Weeks, Keith Weeks and spouse, Lindsey Weeks, Charlotte Webb, Sandra Gauldin and spouse, Gary Gauldin; siblings, Patricia Hill, Virgie Williams, William Weeks and spouse, Cynthia Weeks, Michael Weeks and spouse, Cathy Weeks; grandchildren, Olivia Pead, Hunter Geren, Mckenna Weeks, Jacklyn Weeks, Amber Cooper, Amber Riddell, Jessica Webb, Paul Webb, Shane Cooper, Trever Weeks, Adam Gauldin, Ryan Gauldin, Patrick Gauldin, and Sarah Sweat; Great-Grandchildren, Alex Gauldin, Allyson Gauldin, Zoe Gauldin, Owen Lawrence, Connor Pead, Lucas Pead, and Kynslee Chavis.
John was a very faithful, loving and caring man with a heart of gold. He was a man who provided friendship and selfless service to everyone he met. He will be admired most of all for his overwhelming love for God and Family. There are many words and phrases to describe John. His friends and family describe him as; “A good man with a big heart” “An Angel on Earth” “A special man” “A great man who always put family first” “One of a kind” “A great and fun guy. John will always be remembered for his special smile, caring heart, warm embrace and always being there for his friends and family. He truly believed in treating his friends like family and his family like friends.
His son Keith said it best, “The King of all Kings has called a great man home”
The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Rd. Chester, Virginia 23831, where a service will be held, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Newbys Bridge Rd. Chesterfield, Virginia 23832.
Friends and family are invited back to VFW Post 637 at 1400 Lynchburg St. Hopewell, Virginia 23860 for light refreshments.
