John Richard Woodard, Jr.

John Richard Woodard, Jr. (Hook), 75, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, John Richard Woodard, Sr.; mother, June Carroll Harris; his firstborn son, John Richard Woodard III; and his sisters, Joni Lynn Kelley, and Tammy Gayle Temple. He is survived by his three sons, Bronson Lee Woodard, Sean Ray Woodard, Bryant Earl Woodard (Kathleen); his brothers, Joseph Carroll Woodard (Brenda), Charles Walter Woodard (Tracy); and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. John served our country and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne for the United States Army. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 West Broadway Avenue, Hopewell, Virginia.
