Johnny Marry Reese

Johnny Marry Reese, 65, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. The son of the late Preston Lewis Reese and Johnnie Robertson, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Lewis Reese and Floyd Alan Reese, Sr. Johnny retired from Don’s Trucking Company after 22 years of dedicated service. He loved to play golf and was a lifetime member of Lake Gaston Golf Club. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife and caregiver of five years, Linda Boyd Reese; his children, Cheryl Price (Mike), Kenny Priode (Barbara), Jeff Priode (Sherry), Christine Barnes, Rene Terry and Tracy Helmich (Robbie); sisters in law, Barbara Jean Reese, Janice Keyser (Ray), Catherine Gettings (Daniel); nephew, Floyd Alan “Speedy” Reese, Jr. (Amy); great niece, Raichel Lynn Reese; aunt, Kittye Strickland (Bill) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the funeral home with the interment to immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
