John "Rocky" Russell Walter, Jr.

John R Walter, Jr. aka "Rocky", 61, of Hopewell, VA, passed January 10, 2023. Raised in Hopewell, VA, he was the son of the late, John Walter; and survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Walter; daughter, Jennifer Vaid and her husband, Yuri, of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Wyatt and Liam; daughter, Janie Stewart, of Hopewell; son, Nick Wray, of Roanoke; brothers, Eric Walter, of Prince George, Rick Walter, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; and sister, Ellen Chapman, of Hopewell. As well as aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at Omegas Bar & Grill afterwards.
