Joseph Robert Burkhardt

Joseph Robert Burkhardt, 47, of Chester, passed away on August 17, 2013. He was the son of the late Robert J. Burkhardt; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Brandon Burkhardt. Mr. Burkhardt was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and a great friend. He enjoyed participating in various shenanigans with his friends. He loved finding antiques, working in the garage and dumpster “diving”. He most enjoyed the constant company of family, friends and his two dogs, Ginger and Khloe. He is survived by his four children, Dana R. Siano and husband, Joe, Carrie M. Burkhardt, Paige L. Burkhardt and Ryan M.E. Burkhardt; two grandsons, Greyson M. and Truman J. Siano; his mother, Stella; three brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Montpelier Center for the Arts and Education, 17205 Mountain Rd., Montpelier, VA 23192. A potluck dinner with visitation will be held immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Union First Market Bank, Genito branch at 11101 Hull St. Rd. Midlothian, VA 23112 in the name of The Joseph Burkhardt Memorial Fund.
