Joseph Leo Crosier, Md

Joseph Leo Crosier, M.D., born in Hinton, West Virginia, passed away on November 30, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Andrew and Gladys Bennett Crosier and son, Anthony Leo Crosier. Leo attended the University of Richmond as well as the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Hospital and spent his career as an orthopaedic surgeon. He also served honorably in the United Stated Army in the 101st Airborne. Leo was a lay reader at Christ & Grace Episcopal Church and a member of the ACCA Oriental Band. He enjoyed listening to music, ham radio, and loved a good joke. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father. Leo is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia R. Crosier; son, Christopher Joseph Crosier (Naomi); daughter, Pamela Slaughter (Mike); grandchildren, Justin Kennedy, Nicholas Kennedy, Abby Crosier, Isaiah Crosier, Samantha Kaiser, Shannon Kaiser, and Seth Hicks; and brother, Bobby Crosier (Esther). The family will receive friends on Monday, December 6 from 5:30-7:30 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home – Petersburg, 103 S. Adams Street. A funeral will take place the following day in the chapel at 11 AM with interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC, 29605, or to an orthopaedic hospital.
