Joseph Louis Dotson, III, 76 of Chester, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Born in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Joseph Louis Dotson, II and Minnie Lee Fulkerson Dotson. Mr. Dotson was a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chester, VA. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Donoho Dotson; four children, Joe Dotson, IV and wife, Carol, Robbi Davis and husband, Chris, Jill McMillin and husband, Rob, and Scott Barrington and wife, Malia; twelve grandchildren, Sarah Mitch and husband, Derek, Emily Dotson, Dannie McDonald and husband, Jon, Samantha, Heather and Cole Davis, Loren, Mac and J.D. McMillin, Caroline, Alexandria and Catherine Barrington; a brother, Bob Dotson; and one sister, Bonnie Druga and husband, Joe. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 12201 Richmond St., Chester, VA 23831, with the Rev. Dale Custer and Rev. Bob Armstrong, officiating. Interment will be private. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
