We are saddened and broken hearted that our beloved son, Joseph Bruce Elko, Jr. “JB” died suddenly on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
JB was born in Richmond on March 13, 1979. He attended Matoaca schools in Chesterfield, graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in Petersburg and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA with a BFA in Interior Design. JB was a kind and generous man with a creative mind. He was always willing to help solve design or architectural problems, help a friend, or sit on the floor and play with children. He loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay and fishing.
JB is survived by his parents, Joe and Betty Elko of South Chesterfield; his favorite brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Cricket Perkinson Elko, of Dinwiddie; his beloved partner, Dana Johnson and her children, Reid and Charlotte, whom JB loved as his own; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
