Joseph Bradford Ellington, 74, of Chester, VA, passed away on November 1, 2020. Born and raised in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph Ferdinand and Gladys Vaiden Ellington. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Grubbs Ellington; son, Ryan Fleshood Ellington; daughter, Maggie Ellington Floyd; and son-in-law, Bobby Floyd. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Maddox Rhys Floyd, Liam Harper Floyd, and Ruby Maxine Floyd. He is also survived by a brother, Donald Ellington; sisters, Roberta Holland, JoAnne Ellington, and Deborah White. His life joys were family, friends, pets, and dressing to impress, along with fishing, gardening, golfing, and shopping. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Petersburg, VA, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
