Joseph Herman Gray

Joseph Herman Gray, 78, of Hopewell unexpectedly left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on September 14th, 2020. He was born in Aberdeen, Brown County, Ohio on July 30th, 1942. He enlisted for service to his country for 6 years serving in Germany and Vietnam. He was a member of several Veteran organizations including American Legion Post 146 in Hopewell and VFW Post 637. He was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church-where he was Deacon Emeritus and served in several capacities and advisory boards when he was able. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Emma Flaugher, his Father, Homer Gray, his Maternal Grandmother, Nellie Gaunce and his Son in law, Steven P. Best. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria Lee Gray, Daughter, Kimberly Gray Best, 2 Grandchildren, Faith N. Hedrick (Caleb) and Stone J. Best, 1 Great Granddaughter, Elliana Keener Hedrick, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and his special, very loved, 4-legged sidekick Rosie. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no service will take place.
