Joseph Hill

Joseph Allen Hill, 72, of Hopewell died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at his residence. He was a retired oiler for Stone Container Corporation. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Hill, a daughter, Betty Jean Hill Henderson and a son, Clifton Hill. He is survived by his wife, Freda Mae Mounts Hill of Hopewell, three daughters, Josephine H. Robinson and her husband Olsie of Charlotte, NC, Vivian H. Nelson of Petersburg, Tia Alicia Dew and her husband Jason of Colonial Heights, two sons, Joseph A. Hill, Jr. of Richmond, Terry W. Hill of Petersburg, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Bennett and her husband William of Stillwater, OK, dear friends, Brian and Christy Bradley of Hopewell, and Vernell Hill, the mother of her 4 surviving children. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
